THE CITY PROJECT.../cont

Some of the images in the series that were taken a while ago. The more I think about it, the bigger this project becomes. The vastness of this city makes for one monstrous project and I intend to cover all boroughs, all aspects, all seasons... Stay tuned.

The Theatre at the World's Fair site, Corona Park, Flushing, Queens. I love this place, it makes me think of the circus.

Lonely Guy - taken one winter morning on Brighton Beach, Coney Island. This guy was the only person for miles, besides us. What was he thinking about?

Also at Coney Island, on the board walk. The water here is pretty nasty at times, and also very tidal and choppy. I wouldn't have thought you needed a sign, but there it is... NO SWIMMING.

The Woolworth Building

Saxaphone Player in a tunnel under a bridge in Central Park. I heard his music from a way off and was drawn to it. He saw me coming so I asked him if I could take his picture. He said yes. He was German.

Bushwick Terrace Houses, not far from my old Brooklyn neighbourhood, I love these old terraces, esspecially when set against such a dramatic sky.

More foot traffic at Grand Central. I love how the motion blur on the toe of her shoe makes this lady into a witch.

This image makes me think of Cape Town. I love a house with personality and this one reminded me of the brightly coloured houses in the BoKaap area of Cape Town. Taken in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The Pigeon - This guy was totally unfazed by me sticking my lens in his face. He is an Empire State Pigeon and if you think he's gonna move for the sake of your picture, you can fuggehaboutit.
